As part of the new talent acquisition and development drive, seventeen GETs and five MTs joined Gmmco from various Indian Engineering and Management institutes, on August 19, 2013.
The new recruits underwent seven weeks’ training in the Chennai Learning Center. Service induction covered technical modules like Service Industry, Engine, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Power Train systems.
424B and 320D Technical Sales Training was also conducted, which was a combination of classroom and on-the-iron training. This was followed by a visit to the CIPL factory. As a mandatory process, the new recruits underwent training on 6 Sigma courier simulation and Yellow Belt awareness certification, through DPC.
The heads of all departments interacted with the trainees on business operation. As part of soft skill development, training was conducted by Mercury Goldmen on value selling.
Gmmco’s Executive Vice President and MD had a one-on-one interaction session with the trainees during the course of training.
