At Gmmco, the term ‘equal opportunities’ isn’t just a buzzword; it’s in our DNA. We are proud of the first female technicians who joined our sub-assembly section at the Murukancherry workshop in addition to women technicians joining the Nagpur workshop.

While it is common to see technical female workforce in the IT and services sector, it comes as a great pleasure to see these women take interest in joining a shopfloor or a workshop. For the first time in our company’s history, we now have women technicians in our Component Repair Centres (CRCs) for engine and transmission assembly. We are excited to see their contribution to the growth of our company. We plan to upskill and train them in such a manner that we have an all-women section for BCP / GCI component assembly in the near future. We are also striving to hire more women technicians and bring up the female representation in our CRCs from 12% to 25%.

We are sure that they will inspire and stand as an example for the women around them with similar interests. We hope this paves the way for more female technicians in this field.

At Gmmco, we are committed to equal opportunity for all and aim to achieve our gender diversity targets in our CRCs and workshops by this year end.
