Why should I pay more when Cat GET doesn’t last as long as the competitive product?
ANSWER
First, we need to be sure the same components are being compared. It’s misleading to measure two products which physically do not have the same features or design characteristics. Once this has been established, then discuss the trade-offs required in attempting to maximize the productivity of the customer’s machine. While life of the component is a factor, using a product offering which does not wear as long but yields higher productivity may be the best option.

While the application of Tungsten Carbide may look very similar from a visual perspective, there can be significant differences in the results achieved related to the way the product is applied. Consistency in the way the material is applied, application temperature, granular size of the carbide, etc… all play critical roles in determining the consistency, quality and wear life of the product.
